SYMPOSIUM 01 | Lineage Tracing and Cellular Barcoding
ABOUT
The first session of 2024 for the symposium series jointly organized by Science/AAAS, Westlake Laboratory and Westlake University will focus on advances in lineage tracing and cellular barcoding. Lineage tracing, or the tracking of individual cells in an organism over time, is important for studies of both normal organismal development and pathological conditions such as developmental disorders and cancer. Cellular barcoding, in particular, is a method of lineage tracing that uses genetically encoded tags to track large numbers of cells in parallel without disrupting their biological functions.
Our four speakers are experts who will discuss state of the art methodology as well as biological lessons from lineage tracing and cellular barcoding studies in a variety of areas including healthy embryonic development, organ regeneration, congenital abnormalities, and cancer. We welcome all listeners who want to learn about technological advances and biological insights from lineage tracing and cellular barcoding methods.
