Webinar 03 | Metabolic Plasticity in Cancer

ABOUT

Cancer cells have the capacity to adapt their metabolism in order to proliferate in the hostile tumor microenvironment where they need to overcome low nutrient availability, including oxygen, and face the immune response. Cancer metabolism researchers are quickly defining the metabolic plasticity and diversity of tumor cells - from primary tumors to metastasis and therapy resistant cancers – which opens the door for new therapeutic strategies targeting their metabolic vulnerabilities. In this webinar, Marcia Haigis (Harvard U), Kivanc Birsoy (Rockefeller U), Xin Jin (Westlake U) and Daniela Quail (McGill U) will share their exciting research and discuss key questions in the cancer metabolism field.
